Friday, November 24, 2006 Provides Consumers 2.2 Million Searchable Listings

Delta Media Group builds largest independent property search in U.S.

Delta Media Group, the nation's leading real estate Web solutions developer, has announced at this year's NAR Conference the release of their national IDX property search engine,

With over 2.2 million listings, has become the largest independent property search engine in the nation.

Consumers can visit to search listings nationwide through user-friendly characteristics and interactive property search mapping. Delta Media Group directs leads generated from into the lead management system of Delta Media Group customers free of charge. The system rotates through customers who work from the same MLS.

"We built as an added free service to our customers because our goal is to combat predatory Web sites charging enormous referral fees for leads," Delta Media Group president Mike Minard said. "That's why we're offering as the first of multiple Web sites put together by Delta Media Group to drive free leads to our customers." has long served as a portal to display Delta Media Group customers' listings. But in November, began to display all the IDX listings of the MLS's Delta Media Group works with. At launch, this provided over 2.2 million searchable listings, a number that will continue to grow on the search engine.

" is a user-friendly search tool for consumers and a profitable network for real estate brokerages and agents," Minard said. " provides our customers with a national IDX property search - something that is becoming a rare commodity product in the real estate industry-while providing brokers and agents a national referral network and avenue to increase listing exposure."

Brokerages and agents using Delta Media Group as their Web provider have long had the privilege of displaying their properties on, and on other Delta Media Group customers' Web sites through Delta Media Group's national property search. Over 35 percent of all property searches performed monthly on Delta Media Group-built Web sites are performed on the national property search.

"Our national property search is an extremely beneficial tool to our customers because it gives their listings exposure they would have otherwise never received," Minard said. "But it also opens the door for another avenue of business that Delta Media Group allows customers to capture-referral fees."

Some companies using Delta Media Group as their Web site provider are seeing more than 20 percent of their closed transactions from their Web site, Minard said.

"Most companies probably won't get 35 percent of their leads or sales from a national property search network because the majority of consumers are searching for properties local to their agent or brokerage," he said. "But when over 35 percent of our customers' property searches are performed on our national network, it proves that Delta Media Group is opening a marketing door in the real estate industry that would be otherwise impossible for agents and brokerages to attain."

The high volume of national property searches does not take away from local business, as companies typically see a higher volume of Web-based business than ever before, Minard noted.

"Delta Media Group's national property search is bringing in business that agents currently do not capture," Minard said. "This serves as a bonus to the agent, as the customer looking to purchase a vacation home elsewhere could keep working with their local agent to perform the transaction, instead of Googling an agent they've never met or taking an additional trip just to find the right real estate agent when you have a great one near home." allows consumers to instantly find all listings in an area, then search by state and county maps, or use an interactive property search map to narrow into a specific area and view the available listings mapped out in that area.

Delta Media Group Innovates Most Advanced Property Search Mapping System Solution Available

Real estate brokerages and agents using Delta Media Group as their Web site provider can now offer their customers the most advances interactive property search mapping system available.

Delta Media Group this week released their second generation Atlas Search mapping system, using Google Earth-based mapping features. Customers can zoom into an area they want to search and view all the properties on the market in that area in a satellite, hybrid, or map format. House icons show consumers where available listings are located. The icon is red for properties that went on the market in the past 30 days, and blue for all others, making it easier for regular visitors to quickly find new listings in the region in which they are searching. By clicking on a specific house icon, customers can view an information box of the listing's photo and some brief information including price, address, beds and baths. Customers also have the ability to view further details of the listing, save it in the My Home Finder portfolio, or see if the listing has an approaching open house.

Customers can customize their search by price, beds, baths, size and property type to view on the map all available listings matching their search criteria. Customers can then grab and pull the map to quickly locate comparable listings in nearby areas.

Delta Media Group's Atlas Search map allows customers to not only search listings from the local IDX, but nationally as well through Delta Media Group's national property search, is a national property search referral network that displays the listings of all Delta Media Group's customers. Brokerages and agents using Delta Media Group as their Web site provider can display this national property search to their customers for more listing exposure and the ability to capture referral business.

Delta Media Group has always led the real estate industry in interactive property search mapping technology. The company was the first technology provider in the real estate industry to provide this technology to brokerages and agents through their original Atlas Search system, and has now raised the bar in the industry with the version II Google Earth-based Atlas Search system. Delta Media Group customers can still choose to use the original Atlas Search map or the version II map when using Delta Media Group as their technology provider.

Delta Media Group Adds Former MLS Executive Officer to Build MLS-Agent Web Site Relationships

In today's market, home sales are driven by the Internet. The Internet is driven by the local IDX feeds of a region's MLS. Those feeds are driven by working relationships between the real estate agency's Web site provider and the MLS.

Delta Media Group understands just that, and took a pro-active approach to bridge the occasional MLS-real estate Web site gap by bringing on board a former 5,000-member MLS Executive Officer as MLS Business Development Coordinator.

Mike Bruce served as Executive Officer of Centralized Real Estate Information Services, Inc. (CRIS) since late 2001 and was the Director before that.

"I'm very excited to come on board with such an up and moving company like Delta Media Group," Bruce said. "After seeing everything that Delta Media Group is doing and where they are heading, I quickly realized an opportunity and that I needed to be part of it."

Delta Media Group is one of the nation's most innovative Web site and Lead Management systems builders and will utilize Bruce to manage all assets of MLS relationships, including MLS compliance, MLS contract coordination and future MLS business development. Bruce's addition to Delta Media Group's qualified team will aid the company's long-standing mission of keeping workable, solid relationships with MLS's across the nation.

"I think Delta is one of the most exceptional companies I've ever dealt with," Bruce said. "As an executive officer at CRIS I worked with several companies that used our IDX and none were as easy to work with or accessible as Delta Media Group. There were even times representatives from Delta Media Group called me up to let me know when there was a problem with our IDX feed that I was not yet aware of. That relationship is what inspired me to come work for Delta Media Group."

Bruce's situation is unique in that very few, if any real estate Web site companies utilize a former MLS Executive Officer to build working relationships with MLS's. "That's part of our vision, to create the best online tool for real estate agencies to grow their business on," Delta Media Group President Mike Minard said. "Having a working relationship with MLS's is a critical key in making real estate web sites work. We understand that and strive to go as far as possible in having good relationships with MLS's."

Prior to joining Delta Media Group, Bruce served as Executive Officer of Centralized Real Estate Information Services, Inc. (CRIS) since late 2001. Before taking the Executive Officer position he served as MLS Director, the highest position at the time. CRIS is a regional MLS made up of seven Boards of Realtors with over 5,000 members. Bruce began his work in the real estate industry as an agent before he ran Akron's MLS from 1992 to 1996. CRIS was started in 1997, and Bruce was in charge of taking all incoming data and entering it into the regional MLS system. He also assisted brokers with MLS set-up and compliance issues related to their public accessible Internet Data Exchange (IDX) web sites.

Bruce's addition is one of a few recent steps Delta Media Group has taken to advance their title as the nation's most innovative Web site and Lead Management systems provider. In an effort to capture customers quicker Delta Media Group has also recently added an automated drip marketing system and Customer Relationship Management system to their already-innovative Web Site Solutions. Delta Media Group builds one of the nation's top Lead Management systems to help agents utilize their web site presence, featured homes and IDX listings to gain the edge on competing agencies. Since 1994 Delta Media Group has provided many of the nation's leading real estate companies with one of the best lead generating Web sites on the market. The Canton, Ohio-based company's Lead Management and Property Pursuit Atlas Search systems provide a more user-friendly online real estate experience for both consumers and real estate agents. Nearly 200 agencies and more than 24,000 agents in 48 states are using Delta Media Group Web sites.
